You need way more noisy and snappy 808s. The sample is good is just needs to be mastered better. You should listen to people like Traxman or anyone from the teklife crew. The usually make their tracks mostly on hardware to get that distinct sound. Usually on an akai MPC 2000xl or just any MPC for that matter. But anyway, it's good so see someone who is interested in this genre other than me. Not only do I like the style of music but the dancing style as well. Just check out more stuff and you can catch onto the style.

I like the acid stuff that's going on with that saw patch. Sounds like more of a monosynth sound that you're going for (Something like a Roland TB-303). I would consider this more on a techno or house side since Drum and Bass is usually 160 - 189 BPM. Although, you could touch up on mastering by lowering some instruments rather than compressing some over the bass drum. Overall, a good start!
(I'd appreciate it if you checked out some of my music, thanks!)

I didn't really compress anything, I didn't even master it (^∀^*), but I definitely will (try to) master my other songs.
Thanks for the feedback :)

Hey, that's pretty good. I feel like the drums need to be louder though and I need more mids in that sawtooth patch. Also that piano rise seems generic. I'd happily play this in a D&B set but it just needs work otherwise I'd have to turn up the mids to max.
Check out my stuff of you got the time, thanks!

Well first of all, this song isn't apart of the Drum and Bass genre. This is more of a modern house or synth pop due to this swing. I am personally not a fan of Japanese vocaloids just like the recent commentator but that doesn't stop me from reviewing this song.
For personal preference, the vocals need to come out more. If you're making a track with vocals in it, it should at least feature it along with the rest of the instruments. Secondly, the mastering for the bass kicks and the drums just overpower everything. I don't know if it's just me but the sine counter-melody feels very fair away aside from the drums. I also feel like the swing on the 16th notes are way too heavy to where it sounds like a jazz shuffle (Even though a lot of house and garage music tend to have house shuffle dancers). It's just the swing on the vocals don't sound that good. One more thing; this song reminds me of that really famous Alan Walker track that I despise but if you're going for that kind of sound, you're on the right track.

Thank you for your advice. I will continue to practice diligence.
I think balance of vocals, bass kick, and other instruments is like that of curry powders.
It seems that I put bass spice too much X-P

I think Mr. Alan Walker is one of the great artists in the world.
I must study from him.

Wow, this is amazing. Those breaks are sharp man. Keep makin tunes like this, I'd like to see more.

I'm personally not a fan of that transition from b flat major to the e flat. It doesn't sound as intervening as more well known modern DnB. Also, this song is lacking depth within the bass if there is any. I'm just hearing those hits and counter-melodies being played over this simple modern break. Keep working on it and it'll be fine.

Well, the filtered saw is not in the same key as the other filtered saw hits. I think the bass is in F minor and the chords don't fit with the bass so it doesn't sound like it's right theory wise. Work on your mixing because there's no bottom to it. One more thing; Drum and Bass tends to be break heavy and fast pace. It seems that you're taking this at a cool 100 or more BPM which is more of a trance/techno kind of vibe.

Check out some of my tracks if you have the time, thanks!
